I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Walden University after completing my undergraduate degrees at Baylor University in Anthropology and Sociology. I am currently working on my doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision specializing in Trauma and Crisis counseling. I have experience working with individuals, couples, family, and group psychotherapy sessions. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. I am also experienced in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, adverse childhood experiences, sexual and physical abuse, emotional disturbances, self-esteem and self-worth issues, postpartum depression and new motherhood transitions, probation and parole support, work and academic burnout, professional compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and chemical dependency and addictions. I have worked in a variety of mental health care settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, juvenile justice division, residential treatment centers for human trafficking, and community healthcare clinics. I have training in several treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, play therapeutic interventions, and motivational interviewing to provide clients with a personalized and positive experience through their mental health journey.
