Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Superised by Brenda Lopez, LPC-S, RPT-S
I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Baylor University and my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Houston Christian University. My experience in private practice allowed me to work with a wide range of clients dealing with many different mental health issues including anxiety, depression, grief, stress management, self-esteem issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and eating disorders. I enjoy the challenges and unique experiences that come with working with older children and teenagers. My therapeutic techniques come from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and strength-based therapy. Additionally, I like to incorporate techniques from art/experiential therapy as it can be hard for many of us to express ourselves purely through the use of words. As a counselor, it is my goal to ensure that my clients feel safe and comfortable. I want my clients to feel empowered and supported through all of the struggles life may bring.
